This song was a collaboration between Brett Voitik and myself. I asked Brett to write a poem that I could set to music. 

 

the edges of the earth
meet the moon
spring is in the air
life anew
post dawn
pre noon
a symphony of crickets croons
while the may cicadas sing and have their fun
find us bathing in the sun till the showers overrun
now billowing clouds have shed their tears
but the weeping willows smile
since the end of the drought appeared
